Session #1

Estimating project costs 

If you struggle to know how to budget or what a project will cost your client before they’ve even hired you, this session is for you. 

  • You will leave with the knowledge of how to accurately estimate a project’s cost (including design, materials, & construction) & have a working template to help guide you.

Session #2

Price your services for profit

It’s not enough to just charge more money and hope you are profitable. Deciding which pricing model is for you requires a deeper understanding of your business. 

  • In this session, we will walk you through the pros and cons of flat rate versus hourly billing. You will learn how to calculate your company overhead and use our profitability calculator to determine the best pricing model for your business.

Session #3

Re-selling products successfully

Selling products can be one of the most profitable aspects of an interior design business. 

  • In this session, you will learn why products are the key to increasing your profits. You will walk away with the tools to identify which products are your biggest money maker and how to mark up products for resale.

Session #4

Client Conversations

Does talking about money with your clients make you nervous? When you are equipped with the words and have the confidence from knowing your numbers you will communicate pricing with ease.

  • This session is going to be loads of fun, with lots of role-playing. You will walk away with a script to better prepare you for those difficult conversations with clients. You will know exactly what to say when a client questions you about, your fees, your discounts, and project budgets.

Session #5

Guided Journaling

Sometimes we all just need a little time to put our thoughts onto paper. 

  • In this session, you will have time for quiet reflection with questions to guide you toward setting the most intentional goals for your year ahead. Backed with the knowledge from previous sessions you will confidently set realistic and achievable goals for your business.

Rebecca Hay

Rebecca Hay is the CEO of Rebecca Hay Designs, an international speaker, podcast host, and business coach. She teaches interior designers who want to attract and serve their ideal clients with greater ease and efficiency so they can have more entrepreneurial freedom – time, money, and creativity. Rebecca believes in collaboration over competition and that given the right tools any designer can achieve success.

Lisa Canning
Lisa is a professionally trained mindset and life coach who loves helping women unlock what is holding them back from earning money in their businesses. A former HGTV personality with 15 years of experience in interior design, Lisa brings her knowledge of the design world, combined with mindset coaching, to help designers scale to their next level with empathetic cheerleading and strategic plans for optimal results. A mom of 9 children ages 13 and under, Lisa is an expert in creating excitement, energy and action. Lisa has been featured on The Today Show, Hallmark Home and Family, The NY Times, Style At Home and more. 
Merilee Wright

Merilee is a former client of Rebecca’s and an accomplished business professional with a passion for coaching people and business owners to achieve their goals.
Skilled in reaching business objectives through the alignment of business operations and employee and customer experience, Merilee has a reputation for making an impact. With over 30 years of increasingly senior roles in the consumer services, financial services, and retail industries, Merilee has a breadth of experience that includes strategy development, business operations, customer experience, coaching, and change management.
